  • BASIC NITROX DIVER

    nitrox diver

The basic nitrox course is an extremely useful training for every diver. Certainly, you will not expand your depth range, but you will definitely increase your no-decompression time and your dives become longer. Nitrox also means more decompression safety, compared to the dives that you have done on air … You will get the opportunity to use mixtures containing a larger fraction of oxygen, while lowering the amount of nitrogen .

    Applicants for the program must:

    • be 16 years of age

    • have passed ISSF Open Water Diver 20 or equivalent. It is possible to conduct nitrox training, in parallel with the ISSF OWD 20 training.

    TRAINIG CONTENT

The program focuses on gaining knowledge about the safe use of gas mixtures, with oxygen content between 22 and 40%. The training concentrates on the following topics: the principles of nitrox dive planning, the principles of mixture analysis, the principles of proper nitrox selection related to diving plans, advantages and threats of nitrox diving. Most probably, for the first time you will learn the advanced terminology often used by technical divers like: MOD, Best Mix, PPO2 …
You will also expand your knowledge about: equipment and decompression issues, as well as the use of nitrox digital planners and dive computers.

    Qualifications:

Opportunity and knowledge (the competence) to dive with nitrox mixtures with oxygen content up to and including 40%.
