    Diving under ice

    If you would like to try ice diving, in extreme and adverse conditions, but with the help and assistance of the surface team, the Ice Diver training is just for you. Light show with the air flow along the ice sheet provide an amazing experience that, combined with the proper training, gives great satisfaction.

    Applicants for the program must:

    • Be a minimum of 16 years of age

    • have passed at least ISSF Open Water Diver 20 + ISSF Navigation and Recovery Diver, Dry Suit Diver or equivalent of another training agency.

    • have completed and logged a minimum of 20 non-training dives with a total duration of no less than 600 minutes.

    TRAINING CONTENT

    The ice diving training is intended to prepare a diver for buddy diving under the extreme conditions with the use of special equipment and a lifeline (secured to the harness). The topics covered during this course, among others, include: assistance, teamwork, dive site preparation, ice conditions, searching for a way out. During the course, you will do at least 3 dives with a total time spent underwater no shorter than 60 minutes.

    Outcomes of the training:

    Having successfully completed the training, the diver earns the ISSF Ice Diver certification as well as the necessary knowledge and skills for ice diving with a lifeline.
