Passing a Rescue Deep Diver 40 training opens up a path to professional diving qualifications which begins with the Divemaster ISSF.
Applicants for the program must:
• be 18 years of age
• have passed AOWD 30 as a minimum rating or equivalent from another training agency and logged the minimum of 40 dives per course with total time spent underwater – no shorter than 25 hours.
• Passed TEC BASIC Diver ISSF or Sidemount Diver ISSF course, or be able to use an additional deco stage or double tank configuration.
• First aid course (can be carried out in parallel with the diving training)
• The ability to successfully complete the Advanced Open Water Diver 30 ISSF course
During the course you will focus on improving rescue techniques, providing first aid and proper deep diving performance. You will experience phenomena that you have only learned about from the book. You will expand your knowledge concerning: decompression, diving physiology, gas interaction and deep diving gear configurations. You will learn how to provide assistance in the water, using the correct rescue techniques. You will complete at least 8 dives and practice a lot of drills on the water surface before you become a competent diver, ready to help during deep dives. Having successfully completed the Rescue Deep Diver 40 course you have the opportunity to enter the professional path that begins with the Divemaster ISSF.
Duration: 4-5 days
Qualifications: Qualified to perform no-decompression dives to a depth of 40m.
