  • TECHNICAL SIDEMOUNT

    Diver

    The training is intended for sidemount divers who want to use the sidmount gear configuration for technical diving, with additional stage cylinders. During this course the student learns the correct, simple and user-friendly sidemount tank configuration.
    The sidemount classes cover many problems and skills related to technical diving. You will start with mastering your propulsion and underwater maneuvering techniques, you will hone the ability to maintain the correct position and trim, develop the awareness of your own and your partner’s gear configuration, you will then master the gas sharing techniques as well as other self-rescue techniques in simulated emergency scenarios. During this course you will also learn how to manage and operate the equipment configuration related to a particular dive.

    PREREQUISITES

    Applicants for the program must:

    • be 18 years of age.

    • have passed at least the ISSF Advanced Nitrox Diver 42 course or equivalent from another training agency and have logged a minimum of 50 dives, with a total time of no less than 35 hours spent underwater (non-training dives only).

    If you think you have some gaps in required knowledge, contact your ISSF instructor who will help you to fill it.

    TRAINING PROGRAM

    The training consists of a minimum 5 training dives, each of which cannot be shorter than 40 minutes. The training is scheduled for a minimum of 2 days.
